Making Shapes

It works even better if you print these pages and actually cut and draw. At first, have a family member show an example.

Exercise 1

Move and place the individual pieces into the box on the right side to make a complete shape.

  • Visuospatial perception
  • Attention
Eight scattered triangular paper pieces on the left, and on the right a rectangle made from the pieces inside a red dotted box

After printing, cut out the pieces on the left with scissors and fit them together. The picture on the right shows the finished shape.

Exercise 2

Draw lines connecting dots to make a triangle, square, rectangle, or pentagon as shown in the red dotted box.

  • Visuospatial perception
  • Attention
Scattered blue dots with an example diamond made by connecting four of the dots
Exercise 3

Based on the figures in the red dotted box, complete the remaining figures below.

  • Visuospatial perception
  • Attention
  • Language
A circle, a triangle and a trapezoid inside a red dotted box at the top, with six partly drawn shapes below
Sample answer

In the second row, draw in the missing lines so they become a circle, a triangle and a trapezoid, just like the examples above. The third row can be completed as a diamond, a right triangle and a parallelogram.
