The January row shows mittens, a sled, a couple in hanbok (traditional Korean clothes worn at the Lunar New Year) and a watermelon; the August row shows a sun wearing sunglasses, samgyetang (Korean chicken soup eaten on hot summer days), Santa Claus and ice cream

In the January row, the couple is wearing hanbok, traditional Korean clothes worn for Seollal (the Lunar New Year). In the August row, samgyetang is a hot chicken and ginseng soup that Koreans eat to keep up their strength in midsummer.

Show answer

The watermelon does not fit January, and Santa Claus does not fit August. Watermelon is a summer fruit, and Santa Claus comes at Christmas in December.
