Challenges and Daily Routine
Using diverse stimuli
Self-directed cognitive rehabilitation can be facilitated by using diverse stimuli, for example exposure to public places or challenges.

Keeping a regular daily routine
It is important to maintain regular sleep and eating schedules: waking up and eating on time. Having a disability after a stroke does not mean it is fine to stay in bed until late or eat at random times.
Structured planning and organization of daily routines, so that most of daily life happens almost automatically, are important for home-based cognitive rehabilitation.
