Environment Modifications
There are three main cognitive rehabilitation strategies.
Environment modifications
Simplify the home environment
Use of compensatory devices
Get help from assistive devices
Direct cognitive training
Practice the impaired functions repeatedly
Environment modifications
Environment modifications can be made by simplifying the home environment to help patients with cognitive impairments live more independently in a safe and supportive living space.
Rather than training cognitive functions themselves, this strategy changes the surroundings so that the patient can manage daily life without difficulty, even with reduced cognitive function.
